How do I log a meal?

Three quick ways: snap a photo of your plate or a nutrition label and let Maia estimate the calories and macros, tell Maia in plain language (for example, “I had a chicken burrito for lunch”), or search the food database by name or barcode.

How are my calorie and macro targets calculated?

When you set up your profile, MyFitPlate calculates your targets from your height, weight, age, activity level, and goal. From there they adapt to your real progress instead of staying on a fixed formula. You can review or change your goals anytime in Settings.

A logged item’s calories or macros look off — can I fix it?

Yes. Every logged entry can be edited or deleted. AI photo estimates are meant as a fast starting point, so tap an entry to adjust the amounts or values.

How do I connect Apple Health?

Allow HealthKit access when prompted, or enable it later in Settings. MyFitPlate can then sync your workouts and health data. We never use Apple Health data for advertising.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your identity is not linked to the prompts sent to AI services, we don’t sell your data, and you can delete everything at any time. Full details are in the Privacy Policy above.

How do I delete my account and data?

Open the app, go to Settings, and tap Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all associated data.
